Dr. Santosh Kaur

About Me

My career has been anything but linear. I started as a clinician in India before relocating to Australia, where I've worked across various healthcare settings—from hospitals and operating rooms to aged care facilities. Along the way, I've worn many hats: clinical practitioner, nurse, researcher, and healthtech innovator.

I founded SmartHeal with a simple belief: healthcare should be accessible, advanced, and grounded in compassion. My focus has always been on leveraging technology and AI to develop solutions that benefit diverse populations, regardless of age, gender, or socioeconomic status.

Beyond SmartHeal, my professional journey includes board service, startup mentorship, university teaching, and active community engagement. I've been honored with recognition including Entrepreneur of the Year and Women Changing the World awards—achievements that motivate me to continue pushing boundaries in healthcare innovation.

"Healthcare should be accessible, advanced, and grounded in compassion."

Why I Do What I Do

At the core of everything I do is a commitment to creating meaningful impact. Throughout my journey, I've faced underestimation and barriers—particularly as a woman in male-dominated fields. Rather than discourage me, these experiences have strengthened my dedication to resilience and empathy.

My mission today is clear: to help others unlock new possibilities, nurture bold thinking, and use innovation to solve real problems in healthcare and beyond. Whether I'm mentoring founders, speaking at conferences, or developing new healthcare solutions, I'm driven by the belief that we can create a more equitable, accessible future for everyone.
